How does the transfer of a body proceed?
The process of repatriating a body abroad depends on several factors, as every country in the world has its own entry requirements regarding the deceased. Thanks to our many years of experience, we can estimate quite accurately for each country how long the repatriation will take.
A prerequisite for repatriation abroad is always proof of citizenship of the country in question, i.e., a passport, birth certificate, or ID card from that country. If these requirements are met, we can repatriate the body without any problems.
What means are used to transport the deceased?
In most cases, the deceased are transported by plane, and only very rarely by car. It always depends on the distance to the destination where the deceased is to be buried abroad.
Transport by plane is usually preferable, as it is safer and faster.
